2026 SHPA Tai O Immersive Travel & Traditional Workshops (2026-02-14)
Our SH Parent Academy (SHPA) hosted an immersive day of discovery on the Valentine’s Day (14 Feb 2026) in the historic fishing village of Tai O for our kindergarten students and their families. Families stepped outside the classroom to learn, bond, and grow together through shared cultural experiences.
Highlights of the Day:
- Guided Heritage Tour: Led by local expert Tai O Cookingmama families explored the iconic stilt houses and discovered what life is like in Hong Kong’s unique “Water Village”.
- Salted Egg Workshop: A hands-on lesson in traditional food preservation where everyone crafted their own salted egg yolks.
- Tea Cake Making: Parents and children worked together to create—and enjoy—traditional Tai O tea cakes.
This trip beautifully reflected our commitment to parent-school partnerships. By exploring Hong Kong’s heritage together, we continue to foster the strong relationships that support our students’ wellbeing.
